Supporting local Veterans without the red tape

One of the local organizations benefiting from SWAM is the Lakes Region Chapter of Veterans Count, a program run through Easter Seals.

I was not familiar with this group previously and am really glad I have learned more about the opportunities and support they provide to service members and families.

A few highlights below about why this group makes a difference...

  • by design, provides military and veterans with a “hand up” and not just a “hand out.”
  • able to provide immediate assistance without the bureaucratic red tape which discourages so many service members.
  • Care Coordinators are able to provide complete wrap around services and lead their clients from crisis to self-sufficiency.

Your donation will make it possible for a Veteran, current Service Member, or a family member, to turn to Veterans Count for help with:

  • Emergency Financial Assistance (housing, food, fuel assistance, gas, vehicle repair)
  • Deployment Support
  • Substance Abuse Services
  • Employment Counseling
  • Mental Health Support

You can support this organization by donating using my fundraising link below:

Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255.
If you are in need of urgent services or referrals, please contact Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Services Program Coordinator at 603-315-4354 or vetscount@eastersealsnh.org and somebody will get back to you within 24 hours.
